Our next batch of popular Murraya koenigii or Sweet neem trees are now ready and looking really nice as pictured with a fresh crop of summer foliage.
These are the true curry leaf tree and picked fresh from the tree they make a great addition to traditional indian dishes and curries.
As they originate in warmer climes, curry leaf trees will grow best indoors in the UK most of the year although at this time of year when it is really warm they will be quite happy on a sunny patio or balcony.
Water and feed regularly in summer to encourage as much growth as possible in our shorter growing season and start to tail off as the days get shorter into autumn. We keep them just above 10C in the winter months so they don’t need a lot of heat but they do like lots of sunshine so choose the sunniest spot or windowsil in your home. Over time they will grow on and fill out into a large bush and from next year you should be able to harvest the fragrant leaves for cooking.
